[For manufacturers, distributors and suppliers]
- Upon receipt of an application
for halal accreditation, an initial inspection and audit of the plant and
ingredients is carried out at the expense of the manufacturer,
supplier or the distributor to ascertain the possibilities and facilities
which are pre-requisite to authentication of halal
- Upon completion of the exchange of the agreement and contract a customary
date of commencement of license is set and, having paid the prescriptive
subscription
fees, an annual license is issued
- Approved manufacturer, supplier or distributor
is by virtue of the endorsement is entitled to use the HFA logo of halal
authenticity on their ingredients and
products
- In accordance with the agreement, the HFA makes at least three
unannounced inspections or audits
- Any addition or removal of ingredients
has to be notified to the HFA prior to manufacturing, processing, or patenting
and marketing of
the product.
- Endorsements and license are automatically renewed annually
on the due date unless there is a fissure
